The Pentair 474957 is the combustion chamber assembly for the Sta-Rite Max-E-Therm gas heaters, covering the SR200, SR333 and SR400. It is the genuine part, supplied as a complete assembly.

Where it fits

The combustion chamber is part of the Max-E-Therm burner system, the same group of parts as the flameholder, the insulation kit and the gas valve. Those are separate part numbers, so if the chamber has failed it is worth inspecting the rest of the burner system while the heater is apart.

What else is in the burner system?
The insulation kit and the flameholder kit are separate Max-E-Therm part numbers. Look them over while the heater is open and order them alongside if they are worn.
Can I fit this myself?
Burner work on a gas heater should be done by a qualified technician. The gas supply has to be shut off, and the heater should be checked for proper combustion afterward.
