Product details

The Pentair 42001-0105S is the voltage selector plug kit for the Max-E-Therm and MasterTemp heater electrical system, covering the 120/240 V selection.

What it does

These heaters can be wired for either 120 V or 240 V supply, and the selector plug is what tells the electrical system which one it is looking at. Get it wrong or leave it out and the control system will not come up correctly, which usually reads as a heater that appears dead rather than one with an obvious fault.

Fitting

The plug lives inside the heater control compartment, so the supply has to be isolated before the panel is opened. This is live mains work, and if that is outside your comfort zone it belongs with a qualified technician. The kit is the genuine Pentair replacement and swaps in for the original.
