The Pentair 474958 is the combustion chamber cover for the MasterTemp 125 and Sta-Rite Max-E-Therm 125 heaters, on units manufactured after 11/16/13 with the newer 9 bolt lid tub design. It is the genuine Pentair part.

What it does

The cover closes the top of the burner chamber. If it is warped, cracked or corroded, combustion gases can escape and the airflow through the burner is disturbed, which shows up as poor ignition, soot or a heater that runs rough. Replacing the cover restores the seal.

Before you order

This is the 125 size cover only; larger MasterTemp and Max-E-Therm heaters use different parts. Check the build date on the heater rating plate and count the lid bolts. Nine bolts and a date after 11/16/13 confirms the match. Gaskets are not included and are available as a separate Pentair kit.
