Product details

Sta-Rite 77707-0013 is the Max-E-Therm control board enclosure supplied with the topside controls. It is a new OEM part and covers the SR-200, SR-333 and SR-400 heaters in both natural gas and LP versions.

What you get

This is the enclosure together with the topside control panel, so it takes in both the housing that protects the electronics and the face the owner presses to set temperature and mode. Note that the same part number is described in two ways in the manufacturer listings, as a PCB enclosure with topside controls and as a control board enclosure membrane panel kit. Compare what you are removing against the photos before ordering rather than assuming from the name.

Why it fails

The topside sits outdoors and takes weather, sun and thousands of button presses. Buttons that need a hard push, a display that has gone dim behind a clouded window, or water that has found its way past a split membrane are all reasons to replace the assembly rather than chase the fault deeper into the control system.
