Product details

The 77707-0010 is the genuine thermal regulator kit for the Max-E-Therm heater water system. The same number is published under both the Sta-Rite and Pentair names, and it appears in the MasterTemp heater water system parts as well.

Where it fits in the heater

The thermal regulator is part of the water side of the heater, the plumbing path rather than the gas train or the control board. It governs how water moves through the heater as the unit comes up to temperature.

Why it is replaced as a kit

These regulators are a service item on the Max-E-Therm and MasterTemp platform and are supplied as a complete kit, so the whole assembly goes in at once rather than being rebuilt piece by piece. If you are working on the heater water system, check the parts diagram for your model to confirm the regulator matches before ordering.
