Product Description
⌄The Sta-Rite 24850-0105 is the air relief valve and pressure gauge assembly for System 3 filters. It is the genuine Pentair part and comes as a complete kit: the pressure gauge, the tee, a 1/4 in. nipple, an adapter bushing and the o-ring.
What it does
The gauge is how you read the filter. Clean pressure tells you the baseline, and a rise of several psi tells you it is time to clean the cartridges, backwash the DE or the sand. The valve above it bleeds the air that collects at the top of the tank after a cartridge clean or when the pump is primed. A gauge stuck at zero, a cracked lens or a valve that will not seal are the reasons this assembly gets replaced.
Fit
It fits across the System 3 line: the SM series modular media cartridge filters S7M120, S7M400, S8M150 and S8M500, the SD series DE filters S7D75 and S8D110, and the SS series sand filter S8S70. The internal air bleed assembly is a separate part.
