Product details

The Sta-Rite 27001-0030S is the upper tank shell half for the System 2 PLM300, supplied with the air relief valve fitted. It is the genuine Sta-Rite part, sold under Pentair.

Top half only

The tank is built as two shells that clamp together around the filter element. This listing is the upper half, the one that carries the air relief valve. The lower tank shell half is ordered separately, and the position lock ring is a separate part again.

The PLM300 turns up both as a System 2 cartridge filter and as a System 2 modular media filter, so read the model badge on your own filter and match it to 27001-0030S before ordering.

When to replace it

A cracked shell, a split at the relief valve boss, or a top that will no longer pull down and seal are the usual reasons the upper half gets changed rather than resealed.
