This is the lower tank half for the 25 inch Sta-Rite System 3 filter, part number 24851-0103S. It is the bottom shell of the filter body, the piece the internals sit in and the plumbing connects to.

What it fits

Sta-Rite lists it as the System 3 lower half tank shell replacement, and it also fits the Pentair System 3 SD-Series DE pool and spa filter model S8D110. System 3 tanks were built in more than one diameter, so measure the tank or read the model label before ordering, since this is the 25 inch shell.

When you need one

A tank half is bought when the shell itself has failed: a crack, a split at the clamp band, or a leak that keeps coming back after a new o-ring and a careful clamp. Once the shell is compromised, no seal will hold it.

What carries over

The internals stay with your filter. Grids, the manifold, the laterals and the plumbing move into the new half. The tank o-ring that seals the two halves is a separate item, and fitting a fresh one is standard practice any time a filter is split open.
