Product details

Pentair Sta-Rite 08417-0005 is the white cover plate for the adjustable floor inlet. It is the genuine replacement part, with a 2 inch male pipe thread connection.

Where it goes

Floor inlets return filtered water upward from the pool floor rather than sideways from the wall. That pattern lifts settled debris and mixes heated and chemically treated water through the whole body instead of skimming the top. The cover plate is the visible fitting at the floor, and it threads into the inlet below on a 2 inch male pipe thread.

Fit and finish

This is the white version, matching white plaster and the rest of the white goods set into a pool floor. The same plate is offered in gray if that suits the interior better. It is listed for the Pentair Sta-Rite 8428 adjustable floor inlet.

When to replace

Floor plates get walked on, brushed and chemically weathered. A cracked, discolored or missing plate is worth changing promptly, both for how the floor looks and to keep the inlet doing its job.
