Product details

The AquaStar UNHT20 is a 2 inch high temperature threaded union, 2 in. MIP on one side and a 2 in. socket on the other.

Self sealing

The union seals on its own, so there is no Teflon tape to wrap and no dope to apply at the joint. That removes the most common source of a slow drip on a union, which is a tape wrap that was not quite right.

Why a union belongs there

Unions are what make equipment serviceable. When a piece of gear has to come out, the union breaks loose at the nut and both pipe stubs stay put. Without one, the same job means cutting pipe and gluing in couplings.
