Product details

The Perma-Cast PB-2008 is a bronze PoolBond water bonding fitting with a 1 inch male pipe thread. It gives the pool water a deliberate electrical connection that can then be tied back to the bonding grid.

Why it is required

The 2008 National Electrical Code calls for an intentional electrical bond to be made to the pool water, and that contact has to be connected to the swimming pool bonding grid. PoolBond fittings were made to satisfy that requirement without a complicated or expensive install.

About the fitting

The body is bronze, a non-ferrous casting. Perma-Cast, based in Export, Pennsylvania, was founded in 1988 and builds permanent mold castings for the pool trade. The PB-2008 threads into a 1 inch female port, so it can go into the plumbing wherever the design calls for the bond to be made.
