The Perma-Cast JH-0019-B Johnny Hinge Set is a pair of bronze hinges that convert a fixed pool ladder into one that pivots. Instead of lifting the ladder out of its sockets at the end of the season, you swing it up out of the water and leave it there.
Why bronze
A ladder anchor sits at the wet edge of the pool, splashed with chlorinated water and never really dry. The hinges are corrosion resistant bronze for that reason, which is the same reason Perma-Cast anchor hardware is made the way it is.
Fitting
The set accommodates 1.9 in outside diameter tubing, the standard rail size on most pool ladders, and mounts into all standard anchor sockets. That means no coring, no new escutcheons and no deck repair: the hinges go into the anchors already set in your deck.
