The Confer Plastics 6000X is the Eliminator, a deluxe heavy duty in-pool ladder in warm gray with an anti-entrapment barrier and a deck platform included.
The barrier
The name points at what makes it different. Behind an ordinary in-pool ladder there is an open space, and that space is what a barrier is designed to close off. This ladder is built in compliance with ISPSC 2021 and carries the anti-entrapment barrier as part of the design rather than as a bolt on.
How it is built
The treads are flat, 5 inches by 18 inches wide, which gives more foot under you than a round rung. The side rails are warm gray with gray treads, a combination chosen for high visibility once the ladder is under water. The deck platform comes with it. Confer gives a weight guideline of 300 lbs.
Fitting it
It is totally adjustable for deck heights from 46 to 54 inches. Installation calls for 10 lbs of sand to hold the base down on the pool floor. If your deck is taller than 54 inches, Confer offers the 6000X-EXT extension kit, which takes the ladder to approximately 68 inches.
