SuperPro Side Mount Pressure Gauge with Indicator

The SuperPro 81060BU is a side mount pressure gauge for pool filters, with a 1/4 in. fitting on the bottom of the gauge and a set indicator needle on the face. It threads into the gauge port on sand, DE and cartridge filters and their multiport valves.

Why the indicator matters

A filter's clean pressure is the reading right after a backwash or cartridge clean. Set the indicator needle there and the gauge shows you how far pressure has climbed since. Once the live needle is 8 to 10 psi above the indicator, it is time to clean the filter, no notebook required.

Fit

Side mount means the stem comes out of the bottom, for ports that face down. It is the gauge found on Hayward Pro Series and S200 series sand filters, Pentair Tagelus, Sta-Rite Cristal-Flo and System 2 filters, Jacuzzi DVK-6 and DVK-7 dial valves and a long list of others. If your port faces sideways, the back mount version is the one you need.

Replace it when

The needle no longer drops to zero with the pump off, sticks, or the face has fogged. A gauge that reads wrong is worse than no gauge, because it lets a dirty filter go unnoticed.
