Product details

Waterway 600-0200 is the air release valve for Waterway filter tanks, supplied complete with its o-ring. It is the genuine Waterway part.

What it does

Air trapped at the top of a filter tank stops the element working and can make the whole system run rough. The air release valve is what lets that air out on startup, and it is the first thing a tech opens after priming the pump. Because it spends its life at the top of a pressurised tank, the o-ring in it takes a beating from chlorine and heat, and it hardens long before anything else on the filter gives up.

Fitment and size

The valve is listed for the Waterway Pro Clean cartridge filters and the Clearwater II filters. The top knob measures 1-7/8 inches across and the valve is 3-7/8 inches long overall, which is the quickest way to confirm it against the one already on your tank.
