Where it is used

The ring is listed for the Hayward® Star-Clear Plus cartridge filters C751, C900, C1200, C1750 and C1900, for the Hayward® Pro-Grid DE-900 and DE-1100 separation tanks, and for the Aqua-Flo Dominator high head pump. That spread is normal for a common o-ring size, but it means the number, not the application, is what you should match.

Fitting

Clean the groove before the new ring goes in, since grit under an o-ring will leak just as reliably as a cracked ring. A pool grade silicone lubricant helps it seat and keeps it from sticking the next time the housing comes apart. Petroleum grease does not belong here.
