Product Description
⌄Complete replacement grid sets for diatomaceous earth pool filters, in five sizes from 24 to 72 square feet. Every set is eight grids: seven full size plus one partial that closes the assembly. Pick the size that matches your filter, using the table below to check it against the part number you are replacing.
Each grid is built around a reinforced center tube. The tube acts as a duct, funneling water from the outer edges of the grid into the center and out through the frame. Spreading the draw this way keeps tension off the fabric, which is usually what decides how long a grid set lasts and how hard the pump has to work to pull through it.
The fabric is woven polypropylene made from virgin resins only, stitched with chemical resistant 4-ply thread. Virgin resin matters here: reground material carries impurities that weaken the weave and open up the pore structure, which is how a tired grid starts passing DE back into the pool.

Choosing the right size
Measure the height of a grid already in the filter, or read the square footage off the filter label. The two go together: 12 in. grids make a 24 sq. ft. set, 18 in. a 36, 24 in. a 48, 30 in. a 60 and 36 in. a 72. The brand on the tank does not decide fit, the grid dimensions do.
What is in the box
Seven full size grids and one partial grid, eight grids total, which is a complete set for one filter. Manifolds, standpipes and clamps are not included. Reuse the ones already in the filter or order them separately.
When to replace a grid set
Replace when DE comes back into the pool through the returns, when the filter will not hold pressure, or when the fabric shows tears, thin patches or a hardened glaze that backwashing no longer clears. Grids are replaced as a full set rather than one at a time, because a single new grid alongside seven worn ones takes an uneven share of the flow and fails early.
