What it is
The assembly is the screen and sock that sit inside the filter at the air bleed. Their job is to keep debris out of the bleed passage. When the screen tears or the sock breaks down, grit gets through and the passage clogs, so air stops purging cleanly from the tank after a clean or a restart.
