Waterway 602-5321 is the drain screen cap in the coarse thread, hex head pattern, listed for Waterway filters built in 2011 and after.

What it is

The drain cap closes the low point of the filter tank. It comes out at closing to empty the tank, and goes back in at opening. That is exactly why it is the part people replace: it gets dropped on concrete, over tightened, cross threaded in the cold, or simply lost in the grass over the winter.

Before you order

Waterway has used more than one thread pattern on these caps. This is the coarse thread version with a hex head. Take the old cap off and compare the thread and the head before you order, since a fine thread cap will start into a coarse port and then bind.
