Product details

This is the Waterway 711-4200, the gasket for the 2-1/2 inch bulkhead fitting on CrystalWater filters. It is the genuine Waterway part.

The bulkhead is where plumbing passes through the tank wall, and the gasket is the only thing keeping water on the inside of it. When it takes a set, gets nicked during a rebuild, or simply hardens with age, the fitting starts to weep at the tank and no amount of extra tightening stops it for long.

Fit it dry against clean sealing faces and draw the fitting up evenly so the gasket compresses square. If you have the filter apart for any other reason, this is a sensible part to renew while it is accessible.
