Maytronics Dolphin Drive Pulley Bearing, 3883645

The Maytronics 3883645 is the drive pulley bearing used across a broad range of Dolphin robotic pool cleaners. It is the genuine Maytronics part, and it also appears under the number 3295-456.

What it does

Inside the cleaner, the motor turns a drive pulley that moves the tracks or wheels and the brush. That pulley spins on a bearing, and the bearing takes every bit of load the drive puts through it while sitting in chlorinated water.

Symptoms of a worn bearing

Grinding or squealing from the drive side is the usual first sign. Next comes a cleaner that stalls in corners, will not hold a wall climb, or draws more current than it should because the motor is fighting the drag. Spin the pulley by hand with the unit out of the water: it should turn freely and silently.

Maytronics lists this bearing for the Nautilus and Nautilus Plus, Triton and Triton Plus, M200, M400, C3 CB, C4 CB, C5 CB, Discovery, Saturn and Advantage Plus, and for the Pentair Prowler 820 and 830, which Maytronics also builds. A cleaner uses more than one bearing and they age together, so count what you are removing and replace them as a set where you can.
