The Maytronics 99953054-EX is the genuine replacement motor unit for the Dolphin M400 and M500 robotic pool cleaners. It is the part behind both the pump and the drive, so a cleaner that has stopped moving or stopped pulling water usually comes back to life with it.

New part, EXCHANGE sticker

The motor carries a sticker reading EXCHANGE. That marks it as a loose replacement that did not ship installed in a cleaner. It is a new Maytronics part, not a refurbished one.

Fit

Made for the M400 and M500 assemblies. Other Dolphin models use different motor units, so check the part number in your cleaner manual before ordering.

No. Maytronics marks loose replacement motors EXCHANGE to show they are not pre-installed in a cleaner. It is a new part.
Which cleaners does it fit?
The Dolphin M400 and M500. Other Dolphin models use different motor units. Your cleaner manual lists the correct part number.
What comes in the box?
The motor unit only. Tracks, filters, cable and the cleaner body are not included.
Is this a job for a pool owner?
Replacing the motor unit means opening the cleaner body. Many owners do it with the manual open; if you would rather not, a Maytronics service center can fit it.
