What the motor unit does

In a Dolphin, one sealed motor assembly both drives the cleaner around the pool and pulls water through the filter. When it fails, the cleaner may still power up and light its indicator while doing nothing at all, which is why a unit that has power but neither moves nor suctions points straight at this part.
