Product details

The CMP Pool Light Adapter Repair Ring is a stainless steel frame that retrofits into an existing pool light niche to replace a stripped or broken light mount. Instead of chipping out and replacing the niche, you anchor this ring to its inside wall and screw the light to the ring.

How it mounts

Three allen screws clamp the ring against the inside of the niche. A new bonding lug is part of the ring, so the bonding connection to the light is restored with the same install. The ring is built to detach, which lets you fit it around the light cord and complete the job with the light still in the pool.

Size

The ring measures 10.5 in. in diameter and is intended for standard inground pool light niches. For spa niches, CMP offers a smaller spa light repair ring.

What problem does this ring solve?
A pool light screws into a mounting tab in the niche. When that tab strips or breaks, the light will not hold. This ring anchors inside the niche with three allen screws and gives the light a new mounting point.
