Product details

The CMP 25549-100-000 is a light sealing ring kit in chrome, made for inground vinyl liner pools.

Why the seal exists

A vinyl liner is a continuous waterproof membrane, and every fitting that passes through it is a deliberate hole. The light niche is one of them. The sealing ring clamps the cut edge of the liner tight against the face of the niche, sandwiching it so water stays in the pool instead of finding its way behind the liner.

When it needs replacing

Seals harden with age, sun and chemistry. Once the ring cracks or the gasket flattens out, the joint starts to weep. That shows up as steady water loss that carries on with the pump off, and sometimes as the liner pulling or wrinkling near the light. Because a leak behind the liner can wash out the base material, it is worth chasing early rather than topping the pool up all season.

Finish

This version is chrome, which gives a bright metallic trim at the light rather than the plain white of a standard kit.

What is a light sealing ring for?
