The Pentair 79200100 is the American 8 hole pattern liner sealing ring for large stainless steel Amerlite light niches.

What it seals

Where a light niche is set into a vinyl liner pool, something has to hold the liner tight against the niche face. That is the sealing ring. It is a plain looking part doing an unglamorous job, and when it corrodes, distorts or loses its grip, water finds its way behind the liner at the one place you least want it.

Getting the right one

Two things decide the part: the hole pattern and the niche size. This ring is the American 8 hole pattern for the large stainless steel niche. Count the holes on the ring you are taking out and check the niche size before ordering, because rings that look similar in a photo will not line up on the shell.

What does the sealing ring do?

It clamps the vinyl liner tight against the face of the light niche. That joint is what keeps pool water on the pool side of the liner where a light is cut into it.

How do I know I need the 8 hole version?
