The Pentair 79206700 is the large PVC niche for Amerlite pool lights in a concrete pool. It is the genuine Pentair part.
Why PVC
These niches are molded from high strength, corrosion resistant PVC. In a concrete shell that means the housing does not corrode the way a metal niche can, and it goes in as one piece with a one inch PVC hub already fitted for the conduit run.
What comes with it
Both bushings are included, a 45 degree bushing and a 0.75 inch reducer, so the conduit connection can be made without a separate parts run. Gunite models carry rebar tie-backs and a plaster ring, which is what makes the installation clean and simple when the shell is shot and finished.
Plan it in early
A niche is set while the pool is being built or during a shell renovation, not afterward, so confirm the light body and the conduit size you are running before the concrete goes in.
