Product details
The Pentair 619355Z is the stainless steel pilot screw used to secure the lens on a range of Pentair pool and spa lights. The gum washer is captive, so it stays on the screw instead of dropping loose while you work.
Where it is used
The same screw serves Amerquartz, Sam Spectrum Amerlite, SpaBrite and AquaLight, and SunBrite II and SunGlow II fixtures. It is the fastener that pulls the lens down against its gasket, which is what keeps water out of the light.
When to replace
Pilot screws sit in the wettest part of the pool and take the brunt of chlorine and hard water. A screw that has rusted, rounded off in the driver, or gone missing entirely will not clamp the lens evenly. If the light is already out of the niche for a bulb or gasket, swapping the screws at the same time costs very little and saves pulling the fixture again.
