The Aladdin 500C is the adaptor ring for Amerlite and Astrolite pool lights. It is the piece that sits between the fixture and the niche so the light seats square and holds its position.
When you need one
Adapter rings are usually replaced when an old ring has gone brittle, or when an existing niche and a newer fixture do not line up on their own. If the light will not sit flush, or the face ring is taking the load instead of the housing, the adapter ring is the part to look at first.
