Quick overview
- Seals the lens Sits between the lens and the housing, which is the joint that keeps water out of the fixture.
- Hatteras and Pool Star Listed for Hatteras and Pool Star pool lights.
- Part O-472-9 Ordered by the SuperPro part number, so there is no guessing at a profile.
- Change it with the bulb The gasket is compressed once it is torqued down, so it is replaced any time the lens is opened.
- Cheap insurance A hardened gasket is what floods a light housing, and the fixture costs far more than the seal.
- Fresh rubber seals, old rubber leaks A gasket that has taken a permanent set will not seal again no matter how tight the lens ring goes.

Product details
The SuperPro O-472-9 is the lens gasket for Hatteras and Pool Star pool lights. It is the rubber seal that sits between the lens and the light housing.
The one part that keeps the fixture dry
Everything else in an underwater light is protected by this joint. When the gasket is fresh it compresses evenly under the lens ring and the housing stays dry. When it has hardened or taken a permanent set, it no longer springs back, and no amount of extra torque on the ring will make it seal. Water in the lens, fogging on the inside of the glass, or bulbs that keep failing early are all the same story.
Replace it whenever the lens comes off
Because the gasket is shaped by years of compression, opening the fixture is effectively the end of its service life. Anyone changing a bulb should plan on a new gasket at the same time. This listing is the gasket alone, not the lens.
