Product details

The SuperPro O-173-9 is the lens gasket for Swimquip pool lights. It is the seal that sits between the lens and the light housing.

The part that keeps the water out

Everything else in an underwater light depends on this one seal. Once the gasket hardens, flattens or splits, pool water reaches the lamp, the socket and the wiring, and what started as a small part turns into a fixture replacement. That is why the gasket is worth changing on schedule rather than on failure.

When to change it

Replace it any time the light is opened. A gasket that has spent seasons compressed and heated has taken its shape and will not seal the same way once it is disturbed, so reusing it to save a few dollars rarely pays off.
