Product details
The SuperPro G-403-9 is the replacement gasket for the AquaLuminator pool light. The source listing also names it for Quasar and Luminator 2000 lights.
What it does
The gasket is the seal between the lens assembly and the light housing. Everything else about the fixture is a bulb and some wiring in a dry cavity, and this one flat ring is what keeps the pool on the outside of it.
When to change it
Any time the light comes apart. Rubber that has spent several seasons compressed between two surfaces takes a permanent set, and reusing it means clamping down harder on a part that has already given up. Fit a new gasket while you are in there and the light goes back together properly the first time.

Which light is this for?
The AquaLuminator. The source listing also names the Quasar and the Luminator 2000.
Do I have to change the gasket when I change a bulb?
It is the sensible move. The old gasket has taken a set under clamping pressure and will not reseal reliably, and a leaking light housing is a much bigger problem than a gasket.
Is this an original manufacturer part?
It is the SuperPro replacement, part number G-403-9, made to fit in place of the original.
What happens if the gasket fails?
Water gets into the housing. At best the light stops working, at worst you are replacing the whole fixture.
