Product details

The Sta-Rite 05501-0005 is the replacement lens gasket for Sunbrite and Sunglow underwater pool lights. It sits between the lens and the housing and is the seal that keeps pool water out of the fixture.

Change it every time the light comes apart

A lens gasket spends its life compressed and heat cycled by the lamp. Once it takes a set it no longer springs back, and a reused gasket is the most common reason a fixture floods soon after a bulb change. It costs very little compared with a drowned lamp, socket and wiring.

Signs it has already gone

Water inside the fixture, condensation on the inside of the lens, or a gasket that is visibly flattened or cracked. If you find any of those, replace the gasket and check whether the lamp and socket survived.
