Product details

The J&J Electronics VU Retro-P, part number 25014P, is an RGBW color changing nicheless LED pool light with a 100 ft cord. It is built as a direct replacement for Pentair GloBrite nicheless lights and works with Pentair IntelliCenter and ColorSync controllers, so an existing GloBrite installation can be upgraded without changing the niche or the automation.

Color, white and control

Red, green and blue LEDs handle the color changing effects and a separate white LED provides a true white for everyday swimming. Because the fixture speaks to IntelliCenter and ColorSync, color shows are run from the controls you already have.

Before you order

Confirm the existing light is a GloBrite nicheless fixture and measure the conduit run to the junction box to be sure 100 ft of cord is enough. Pool lighting must be installed by a qualified electrician to code.

Will it replace my Pentair GloBrite?
Yes. The VU Retro-P is designed as a direct replacement for Pentair GloBrite nicheless lights, so it goes into the existing GloBrite position.
Does it work with my Pentair automation?
It is compatible with Pentair IntelliCenter and ColorSync controllers, so color shows and modes run from the same controls the GloBrite used.
What does RGBW mean?
The fixture has red, green and blue LEDs for color mixing plus a dedicated white LED, which gives a cleaner white than mixing colors alone.
Is 100 ft of cord enough?
For most pools, yes. Measure the conduit run from the light to the junction box before ordering; the cord has to reach the box without a splice underwater or in the conduit.
