Nicheless means simpler

The fixture threads into a standard 1.5 in female threaded return fitting. There is no niche to set and no bonding to run, which is what makes it practical as a retrofit or as an addition to a pool that is already finished.

Color and white

RGB-W means the fixture carries a dedicated PureWhite alongside its colors and light shows, so white light is actually white rather than a blend approximated from color LEDs. The colors and shows change the look of a pool or spa on demand.
