Product details

The S.R. Smith Treo is a 5 Watt, 12VAC color changing LED underwater light for pools and spas. This version comes with a 150 foot cord and a set of four trim rings.

How it lights the pool

The Treo uses a color change LED array with six lockable colors and two color change modes, and it synchronizes with the Color Light Streams series of water features. Light distribution is even across a wide beam, which gets rid of the end shadow that shows up with many other pool lights. The array is rated at 50,000 hours.

Built for the water

The lens uses a non-leak water seal with no polycarbonate materials in the seal itself, and the flexible lens copes with extreme temperatures. Cable terminations are encapsulated, so the external cable and the water seal are not exposed to the heat driven deterioration that shortens the life of older designs. No earth bonding is required.

Fitting it

The Treo is a retrofit light. It installs into standard 1.5 inch wall fittings and retrofits most existing fiber optic installations, and it is iStar compatible. Measure the run from the wall fitting to the junction box before you pick a cord length.

Will the Treo go into my existing light housing?
It is a retrofit light. S.R. Smith states it retrofits most existing fiber optic installations and installs into standard 1.5 inch wall fittings.

Does it need to be bonded?

Why does this version cost more than the short cord one?
Cord length. This is the 150 foot cord version with four trim rings. Measure from the wall fitting to the junction box before choosing a length, because the cord cannot be extended by splicing underwater.
