How a peristaltic pump works
Instead of pushing chemical through a check valve, a peristaltic pump runs rollers along a flexible tube and squeezes the solution forward. Nothing in the chemical path can clog the way an injection head does, which is why these pumps get specified for solutions that foul conventional feeders. The tube is the only wearing part in contact with the chemical.
The timer and the tube
The analog timer means the pump can run a feed schedule on its own rather than waiting on a separate controller.
