The Blue-White Industries D-30200P is a 2 inch vertical downflow pipe flow meter with a clear body, rated to 75 psi.

Downflow means downflow

This meter is built to read water moving down through a vertical run of pipe. Blue-White lists upflow meters as separate part numbers, so work out which way the water actually travels at the point you want to measure before choosing. A meter installed against its intended direction will not give a reading worth acting on.

Why measure flow

Flow rate is the number behind filter sizing, heater performance and turnover, and it is the one thing pressure gauges cannot tell you on their own. A meter in the line turns a guess into a figure you can check against the equipment ratings.
