The Pentair SK is a thermometer supplied with its mounting bushing, made to sit in a skimmer lid so the pool temperature can be read from the deck.
Why a lid mounted gauge
A floating thermometer drifts to whatever corner the return pushes it toward, and it usually ends up pinned against the skimmer anyway. Mounting the gauge in the lid puts the reading in a fixed, obvious place and keeps it out of the way of swimmers and cleaners.
What you get
The thermometer and the bushing come together, so a replacement drops straight into the lid opening. Thermometers cloud, leak and lose their column over time, and once the scale is hard to read there is no fixing it.
