Product details

The Stenner MCCP205 is a #5 Santoprene pump tube supplied with a 1/4 inch ferrule, rated for 0 to 25 psi. It is the genuine Stenner tube for 45, 85, 100 and 170 Series adjustable and fixed pumps and for SVP and BDF Series pumps.

Why the tube is a consumable

A peristaltic pump has no seals, valves or diaphragm in the chemical path. Rollers squeeze a length of flexible tube, and that squeezing is what moves the chemical. The tube therefore takes the whole mechanical load of the pump every rotation, and it is expected to be replaced periodically rather than run to failure. A tube changed on schedule costs a few dollars; a tube that splits inside the pump housing puts chemical where nothing was designed to see it.

Matching the tube to the pump

Tube size sets output, so a #5 tube must go back into a pump set up for a #5 tube. The 1/4 inch ferrule connects to 1/4 inch tubing on the suction and discharge sides. Confirm both the tube size and the pressure at your injection point before ordering, since the 0 to 25 psi rating defines where this tube belongs.
