Product details

Hayward CAX-3512 is the Santoprene feed tube for the Hayward liquid chlorine feeder system. It measures 3 inches by 7 inches and is rated at 31.68 gallons per day.

Why the tube is the part that fails

A peristaltic feeder works by squeezing a flexible tube. That is a good arrangement, because the chemical never touches the pump mechanism, but it means the tube absorbs all the wear. Over time the walls thin, the tube loses its spring and the output drops off even though the pump sounds exactly the same.

Rate follows the tube
