The Pentair 521507 is the o-ring for the chemical container lid, supplied five to a pack. It is the genuine Pentair replacement seal.

Why it is a consumable

An o-ring that lives in contact with pool chemicals does not age the way a plain water seal does. It hardens, loses its spring and eventually cracks, and once that happens the lid no longer pulls down tight. Treating it as a scheduled replacement is easier than chasing a weeping lid.
