The Hayward CAX-3511 is the Next Generation injection check valve, 1/4 inch, with a polypropylene body. It is the genuine Hayward part.
What it does
An injection check valve is the one way door where chemical enters the plumbing. It lets the feed line push product into the flowing water and it stops that water, at system pressure, from traveling back up the small tubing toward the feeder or the pump. If it stops sealing, pool water gets into places that were never meant to see it.
Service life
This valve sits at the point of highest chemical concentration anywhere on the system, so it wears. Treat it as a scheduled replacement during routine service and it will not be the part that shuts a system down unexpectedly.
