The Rola-Chem 521170 is a PVC injection check valve for peristaltic chemical metering pumps. It sits at the injection point where the feed line meets the plumbing.
What it does
A metering pump pushes small doses of chemical into a pressurised return line. When the pump stops, that pressure wants to go back the other way. The check valve is what stops it, keeping pool water and chemical out of the feed tube and out of the pump head. It is a small fitting doing a job that protects a much more expensive one.
