Product details

The Aladdin 935 is a replacement skimmer weir door measuring 7-5/8 inches by 5-1/4 inches. It is the Sylvan weir, and our source data also lists it as fitting Swimquip and Hayward® pool and spa skimmers.

What the weir does

The weir is the hinged flap in the skimmer throat. Water pushes it back and passes over the top, which concentrates the flow into a thin, fast film right at the surface. That film is what carries leaves and oils into the basket. It also swings closed when the pump stops, so what you collected stays in the basket instead of floating back into the pool.
