The Aladdin O-464-9 is the replacement o-ring for the Jacuzzi DVK-6 and DVK-7 six way dial valve. It is a sealing part inside the valve rather than a tank or union seal.
When to change it
Valve o-rings harden and take a set over time. Once the rubber loses its spring, it stops filling the groove and the valve begins to weep, or water finds a path between ports that should stay separate. Fitting a fresh seal is the cheapest correction available before anyone considers replacing the valve itself.
Good practice
Whenever the valve is apart, look over every seal in it, not just the one that failed. They all age at the same rate, and doing them together saves opening the valve twice in a season.
