The Pentair 192039 is the #2-116 o-ring used on Pentair valve bodies. It is moulded in Buna-N at 70 shore, the material and hardness the valves were designed around, and it is the genuine Pentair part rather than a hardware store approximation.

Where it goes

Pentair lists this ring for FullFlow valves, 1-1/2 inch and 2 inch diverter valves, and the FullFlox diverter, check and backwash valves. Two are required, so buy them in pairs.

Why o-rings fail

Valve o-rings live between two plastic surfaces under constant pressure. Over a few seasons they compress flat, harden, and stop springing back against the sealing face. The valve then weeps at the joint or lets water bypass internally. Replacing the ring is the cheapest repair on the pad, and it is worth putting a thin film of silicone o-ring lubricant on the new one so it seats without twisting or tearing.
