The Pentair 271103 is the cover o-ring for 1-1/2 inch TM-12 and SM-10 valves. It measures 5-1/4 inch inside diameter with a 1/8 inch cross section.
Where it sits
A multiport valve is two castings clamped together, and this o-ring is the seal between the valve body and the cover on top of it. When it flattens or takes a set, water finds its way past the top of the valve and shows up as a drip or a wet spot at the filter that has nothing to do with the spider gasket everyone suspects first.
Fitting it
The o-ring is worth changing whenever the cover comes off for other work, since it costs little next to a second teardown. Fit it with a pool rated silicone lubricant, never a petroleum grease. Note that the valve body gasket is a separate part, so identify which seal is leaking before you order.
