Pentair 270134 is the replacement handle for the 263064 push pull backwash slide valve. It is the genuine Pentair part.

Why the handle goes first

Everything you do to a push pull valve goes through the handle. It carries all the leverage each time the valve is pulled into backwash and pushed back to filter, and on a valve that has grown stiff that load is considerable. The handle cracks or pulls off the stem long before anything in the valve body wears out, and at that point you have a filter you cannot backwash.

Fix the cause too

If the old handle failed on a valve that took real force to move, the handle was the symptom. Dry or scored seals inside the valve are what made it stiff, and a fresh handle on an unserviced valve tends to break the same way in the same season. This listing is the handle alone, so the stem, the seals and the valve body come from separate part numbers.
