The Pentair Impeller for Low Profile Water Valve, 230022, is the impeller Pentair lists for its 2 in. WAVE water actuated valve, the low profile valve in its in-floor cleaning and circulation line.

Where it sits

Pentair's WAVE housing replacement guide lists the impeller with the other valve internals: two shims, the gear plate assembly, two stainless steel anti-friction washers and the center shaft. On reassembly the impeller goes in after the gear plate and before the valve lid, and the lid has a speed control guide that must line up with a groove in its underside. Impellers wear and chip over time, and a worn one costs flow before it fails outright.

Fit

The guide covers the 2 in. valve and gives 230022 as the impeller. Pentair's in-floor catalog shows the same part as the Low Profile Impeller, 230022Z. It also lists the impeller shim (235070), the valve lid assembly with O-ring (230045), the valve O-ring (230046) and the band clamp (230011) as separate parts, along with low profile speed nozzles, 230174 for inside install and 230175 for outside install.
